Kinga Biró holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering and an MSc as Teacher of Engineering, and obtained her PhD in Business and Management in 2022 at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. She is a research fellow at the Department of Electric Power Engineering, BME. Since 2017, she has been the assistant editor of the Periodica Polytechnica Social and Management Sciences journal published by the BME. Her research interests include environmental management, life cycle assessment, sustainable business models, climate policy, and sectoral adaptation strategies. In 2018, she was awarded the National Excellence Programme of the Ministry of Human Capacities (ÚNKP) PhD Researcher Scholarship. She was selected for a PhD Scholarship Support Programme of the PADS Foundation. From 2021 to 2022, she was a member of the research group OTKA-K21-138053. In 2023, with the support of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy Budapest, she participated in the Study of the U.S. Institutes for Scholars intensive academic programme in the U.S., becoming an International Exchange Alumni (ECA). She has been a leader and expert in several international and national projects. Her research development experience includes 12 projects in the last five years — publications: 35, h-index: 4.
