Former HYA Co-Chair Katalin Solymosi elected as Chair of Young Academy of Europe
At the annual general meeting of the Young Academy of Europe (YAE) held on 9 October, plant biologist Katalin Solymosi, senior lecturer with habilitation at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), a Hungarian Young Academy alumna and former co-chair, was elected chair of the international organisation.

Call for applications to Bolyai and NRDIO_PD HYA Mentoring Programme
The Hungarian Young Academy (HYA) announces, for the third time, its mentoring programme related to the János Bolyai Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (Bolyai Mentoring Programme), to be complemented for the very first time by another mentoring programme for the postdoctoral research grant (NRDIO_PD Mentoring Programme) supported by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDIO).

Youth in Academia – New research report on the situation of researchers and academics under 45
The Hungarian Young Academy (HYA), in cooperation with fellow researchers from the Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies and Corvinus University of Budapest, conducted an extensive and in-depth survey among researchers and academics aged 45 and under in autumn 2021. The resulting detailed research report was published jointly by HYA and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with the MTA Library and Information Centre.
