The detailed report of the 2025 researcher survey conducted jointly by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Hungarian Young Academy is now available in its integrity (in Hungarian), providing a comprehensive overview of the situation of researchers in Hungary and those with ties to the country.

The main findings of the survey titled “The Situation of Researchers in Hungary and Researchers with Ties to Hungary” were presented by Júlia Koltai to local young researchers in Szeged.

The delegates of Young Academies confirmed their endorsement of the Stockholm Charter for Academic Freedom at their meeting in Stockholm.

The preparation and implementation of the large-scale questionnaire survey took a year, and the first results have now been presented to the public by the scientists leading the research. The research offers a comprehensive overviews of the workplace situation of Hungarian researchers, their job satisfaction, their plans for the future, and their opinions about the Academy.

Following Katalin Karikó’s inspirational talk, FKA member Kata Horváti participated in a discussion with the Nobel Prize laurate researcher at the STEM Talk event organised with young German and Hungarian researchers as part of the Berlin Science Week.
