Results of joint MTA–HYA research assessing the situation of Hungarian researchers presented amid great interest

The preparation and implementation of the large-scale questionnaire survey took a year, and the first results have now been presented to the public by the scientists leading the research. The research offers a comprehensive overviews of the workplace situation of Hungarian researchers, their job satisfaction, their plans for the future, and their opinions about the Academy.

Meet the “fifth-year” HYA members – HYA tradition continued at Hungarian Science Festival

On 12 November 2025, the Hungarian Young Academy once again held an all-day event to celebrate the Hungarian Science Festival. In the afternoon session entitled “Brought to you by the members of the Hungarian Young Academy – reports on various fields of research,” twelve young researchers, members of the 2026 alumni presented their research.

On 12 November 2025, the Hungarian Young Academy once again held an all-day event to celebrate the Hungarian Science Festival. The morning session, entitled “Multidisciplinary Research, or How Research Fields Find Each Other,” focused on how distant academic fields can be connected.

HYA meeting with NRDIO to provide feedback on National Research Excellence Programme

One of the key tasks of the Hungarian Young Academy is to monitor and evaluate grant opportunities available to young researchers in Hungary and to share feedback with the funders. On 21 October 2025, HYA met with representatives of the Research Excellence Council of Hungary and the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDIO) for a constructive discussion.
