The Hungarian Young Academy (HYA) is pleased to announce the opening of its membership application procedure for the term of 2026–2031. The deadline for submitting applications is 2 December 2025 (midnight).

Results of joint MTA–HYA research assessing the situation of Hungarian researchers presented amid great interest

The preparation and implementation of the large-scale questionnaire survey took a year, and the first results have now been presented to the public by the scientists leading the research. The research offers a comprehensive overviews of the workplace situation of Hungarian researchers, their job satisfaction, their plans for the future, and their opinions about the Academy.

Following Katalin Karikó’s inspirational talk, FKA member Kata Horváti participated in a discussion with the Nobel Prize laurate researcher at the STEM Talk event organised with young German and Hungarian researchers as part of the Berlin Science Week.
