Hungarian Young Academy

The aim of the Hungarian Young Academy is to be the voice of young researchers, representing the interests of their community both in Hungary and abroad. A grassroots scholarly society operating in accordance with the public duties of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Hungarian Young Academy held its inaugural meeting on 7 May 2019. Through its activities, HYA seeks to support the professional development of young researchers and strengthen the relationship between researchers and society. HYA participates in the scientific activities of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in close cooperation with the Academy’s various bodies.

Palace of Academy from LEGO bricks – Birthday gift from Hungarian Young Academy for 200th anniversary of MTA and Library

The model, designed and partially pre-built by LEGO Certified Professional Balázs Dóczy, was completed for the first time by secondary school students from the BMSZC Trefort Ágoston Bilingual Technical School with the assistance of HYA members on 17 April 2026 in the exhibition hall of the Palace of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
