Event
For the second time, the Hungarian Young Academy is organizing a popular science lecture series in connection with the Fascination of Plants Day, entitled “Plants in the Focus”, to be held on 11 June from 2:00 p.m. at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).
Organized by plant researchers worldwide for the seventh time, this event is coordinated by the European Plant Science Organization (EPSO). The goal of the event is to draw as many people’s attention as possible to the importance of plants. It is important to raise awareness that plant sciences play a fundamental role in ensuring the sustainability of agricultural, horticultural, and forestry production, in preserving a livable natural environment, and in the production of healthy, high-quality food as well as numerous environmentally friendly industrial products.
