Tamás Terpai is a mathematician, an assistant professor at the Department of Analysis of Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. His areas of research are cobordism invariants of singular maps of smooth manifolds and analytic methods in studying graph limits. Apart from teaching and performing research at ELTE, he participated in research at the HAS Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics (Low Dimensional Topology and Groups and Graphs “Lendület” Groups). He also taught and did research as a postdoc at University of Geneva and at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. He is the recipient of the 2016 Youth Award of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and prize winner of the 2001, 2002 and 2003 Miklós Schweitzer Memorial Competition.
