The article compiles the HYA’s guiding principles and profiles all the co-chairs who, sparing no time or energy, have spearheaded the efforts of advocacy for the sake of young researchers. It also highlights the publications and surveys which, thanks to systematic, data-driven work, have made it possible to increase the visibility of young researchers and to seek increasingly effective solutions to the problems specifically affecting them, in collaboration with science policy stakeholders. Their countless professional and community-building events demonstrate that the highly diverse membership of the organization carries out this crucial work in a positive atmosphere, with the fundamental goal of “ensuring transparency and equal opportunities for all young researchers.”
