The Hungarian Young Academy (HYA) – together with the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) and numerous Hungarian universities and research institutes – has been following with deep concern the military events in Ukraine. Several of their members joined MTA’s exemplary fundraising action for supporting Ukrainian researchers who have been forced to leave their country, and HYA welcomes the opportunities provided by the information and intermediary platform created for their inclusion.

In this situation, when university students and young researchers have been forced to leave their domiciles, and freeze their studies and research, HYA members would like to contribute, to the extent possible, to helping Ukrainian students and researchers not to lose touch with academic life by offering them job opportunities, participation in English and Hungarian language university lectures and conferences, and thesis supervision.
