In line with its traditions, the Hungarian Young Academy will once more join in the one-month-long event series of MTA, the Festival of Hungarian Science held all throughout November.
On 25 November, Monday, from 9.30 to 12.00, under the title “Research and Innovation in the European Union: Successes and Failures”, HYA members and invited speakers will explore through four talks and a panel discussion (in the context of Hungary’s 20-year-long EU membership and the country currently holding the Presidency of the EU) how the Hungarian R+D sphere has become integrated with the EU’s research strategy. In addition to the success stories of young researchers, they will also present the findings of their survey carried out in January, which sought to explore the impact Decision 2022/2506 of the European Commission suspending the participation of students and faculties of universities run by public foundations in the Erasmus and Horizon programmes has had on research and the higher education community in Hungary.
