In order to enhance efficient work, the Hungarian Young Academy has organized itself, from the very beginning, into standing and ad hoc committees focusing on various domains to support the community of young researchers. In response to a changing context of relevant challenges, from August 2025, the Committee on the Status of Female Researchers and Researchers with Small Children will continue its work under the name Committee for Equal Opportunities in Science whereas the Youth Mentoring Committee will operate as the Committee for the Promotion of Science, widening its target audience and the scope of programmes to be monitored.

A further change in the structure of HYA is that from March 2025, in light of the operational experience of the previous years, the tasks of the former Committee for Economic and Legal Affairs have been taken over by the HYA Board, and this standing committee has been dissolved.
