On 28 November 2019, the Hungarian Young Academy and the Institute of Biology and Ecology of the University of Debrecen organised a session entitled “Rising Stars” for biologists under 40 at the headquarters of MTA’s Regional Committee in Debrecen. The chief aim of the event, initiated and organised by HYA Co-Chair Péter Török, was to provide an opportunity for talented young biologists to present their work, and to promote and strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation.
