The ENYA Meeting of European National Young Academies was organised by the Young Academy of Scotland in a virtual format on 7-8 May 2021. The meeting brought together national organisations and umbrella organisations (Young Academy of Europe) representing similar interests, which are active in Europe. Hungary was represented by Éva Dékány, former HYA Co-Chair and Katalin Solymosi, current HYA Co-Chair. The virtual ENYA Meeting held in July 2020 and organised by the German Junge Akademie was attended by Katalin Solymosi and Gergely Toldi, HYA Board Members. In 2022 and 2023, a similar meeting will be hosted by the Belgian Young Academy and the Swedish Young Academy, respectively. At this year’s meeting, a speech was delivered by Dame Anne Glover, former Chief Scientific Advisor of the European Commission, among others. The representatives of the young academies discussed possibilities of cooperation, and joint participation in European science policy, and they also shared the best practices of the individual organisations.
