Founded in 2012, the Young Academy of Europe (YAE) became a partner organization of Academia Europaea in the very same year.
Among its principal objectives, it seeks to be the voice of the youth for science policy and decision-makers, foster communication and networking among European young researchers, and fight for equality and diversity while combatting prejudice in science. Its flagship activities include talent management and the popularization of science.
Its members are early-career researchers working in one of the member or associated states of the European Union, who are outstanding representatives of their research area, and have experience in leadership.
Imola Wilhelm is the seventh member of the Hungarian Young Academy to be admitted to YAE.
