Our aim is to channel the experiences and perspectives of young researchers into scientific public life and the dialogue on science policy, thereby promoting data-driven decision-making. We conduct regular surveys to map out the situation and challenges faced by researchers in Hungary; we publicise the results widely and, based on these, formulate policy recommendations aimed at improving researchers\u2019 career paths and the academic environment.<\/p>\n<p>We consider it important to continuously build our profile and strengthen our credibility. A key priority is to increase the visibility of young researchers and showcase their scientific achievements. Through our communication activities, we contribute to strengthening the social embeddedness of science and to enhancing the attractiveness of research careers.<\/p>\n<p>Through domestic and international collaborations, we promote dialogue between scientific disciplines, the building of international relationships and the sharing of best practices. We consider it important for young researchers to be active members of the international scientific community.<\/p>\n<p>We are committed to supporting the predictability of domestic research careers, improving research and grant application conditions, and expanding opportunities that facilitate the development of independent research careers. We provide support for researchers at various stages of their careers through mentoring programmes, professional events and workshops.<\/p>\n<p>We stand up for academic freedom, researchers\u2019 autonomy and academic integrity. We support the development of transparent and fair research evaluation systems. Furthermore, we stress the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, improving the situation of female researchers and those with young children, and strengthening efforts towards equal opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>The Hungarian Young Academy also acts as a supportive community: we provide a space for knowledge-sharing, inspiring professional collaboration and support for the next generation of scientists.
